"In January 2024, I was invited to participate in the Valparaíso Biennial with a work and a residency. Amandine Coulombel and Francisco Araneda from Taller Fábrika, whom I met two years earlier in Bogotá, insisted that I participate with the work Amanecerá decapitado (He Will Dawn Decapitated) that they saw at Espacio El Dorado: a series of Christopher Columbus heads that I dragged around Bogotá and that were exhibited with the video that records the transfers. In this case, the work consists of transporting the object to the exhibition site, so including the work in the Biennial involved making the journey by land. Crossing borders with a Columbus head cast in cement in Colombia; a white block that looks solid, but is hollow, ideal for transporting any merchandise."
