About this work

Until 2024, passing by the Echaurren square in the Puerto neighborhood, you could still greet Mrs. Ana Fidelia every day with her dogs Maximiliano and Negrucho. She lived her whole life there, got married, raised her children, sold fish, her husband died, her children went elsewhere, and she stayed living her old age having the square as a patio. The entire neighborhood knew her and embraces her story as part of the collective imagination where at some point Jorge Farrías sang out loud "The Jewel of the Pacific." As the song says, the women of Valparaíso are like white daisies, surely one day he will have sung it to Ana Fidelia. The singer from the port found himself immortalized by this first plaster statue created by the association "The Friends of Jorge Farrías." It turns out that someone did not like the singer being represented with his right hand towards the sky, they say that he has never been asking for money in this way but rather with great dignity he presented his art and was paid for it. So the statue's right arms disappeared every time the association replaced one. In 2018, the municipality of Valparaíso replaced the statue with a bronze one, with both arms attached to the knees, it looks great!

About our screen prints

Their production begins with the development of the black and white analog photographic film. We create color layers that are added to the photograph and develop them on screen printing matrices. By combining inks and pigments, we create a special color range for each series. Finally, each copy is printed by hand, layer by layer. All the works are numbered, signed, and stamped with its printing date.
