About this work

Las Torpederas is a beach much loved by the people of Valparaíso who take care of it and defend it so that it continues to be a space where people can enjoy the coastline. It was once a very popular beach resort, of which some ruins can still be seen. The beach is located in Playa Ancha, where the bay ends just before reaching the strong currents of the Pacific Ocean.

About our cyanotypes

Its production begins with the development of the analogue black and white photographic film. We adapt the negative to the technique and then expose it by contact, to the sun. Then, it is developed in different baths of water and additives that allow achieving the desired contrast and intensity of blue. Once the process is finished, a UV protective layer is applied that ensures the durability of the work over time.

All works are signed and stamped with the corresponding development date.
